Winter is here!

Here are a few of the beauties that winter brings. Many of us don't really care too much for the cold and snow (and the boots, mittens and snowpants that it brings with it if you have small children!). However, even in the coldest times of the winter, God graces us with a dazzling beauty that is nearly irresistable! It calls me to don the boots and hat and gloves and grab the camera and tramp through the drifts to capture that perfect spot of God's creation. I hope you enjoy!

As summer draws to a close...

A few moments of quiet around here with two children in school, one napping and no one asking for my attention... Aaahh! Smile.

1036 - B&W Lily

A favorite photo of mine is below. We had this one printed as a 16x20 metallic print, then framed it and hung it in our newly decorated bedroom. It has the warm tones that go with the tans/browns, yet the grass just about pops out of the picture. I love the sense of peaceful retreat that it invokes. We had it printed with the words from Philippians 4:7, a very special verse to both of us.

Whew!

Wow - I can't quite believe it's been this long since I've posted, but winter is not a great time for photography (except for snow and icicles!) and we had a major home project that has taken up nearly all my extra time for the past few months. I've been able to slip out and get some shots, but haven't had much time to work with them or get them posted. However, in a desperate attempt to decompress this afternoon, I finally got to do a couple of them. I hope you enjoy!

You can almost smell these big delicate beauties in the pictures! I hope no one is allergic to them! :) They smell so good outside. I think I even got a whiff from across the yard!
